Get to know us
The Key and Vulnerable Population (KVP) Forum Zanzibar is a bold, community-driven movement dedicated to empowering KVP populations. We fight for equal access to healthcare, safety, and economic opportunities through advocacy, leadership, and direct action. From creating safe spaces and economic empowerment programs to challenging discrimination and pushing for policy change, we are on the frontlines of building a Zanzibar where no one is left behind. We are not just a forum—we are a force for change.

Our mission
To ensure the meaningful engagement of Key and Vulnerable Population (KVP) communities in policy reform and programs designed to improve their health and social well-being through advocacy, capacity building, coordination, and dissemination of HIV and other health-related information.
Our vision
A well-represented and engaged Key and Vulnerable Population community in Zanzibar, where everyone has equal access to health, rights, and opportunities in a stigma-free and inclusive society.

Our team
Our strength lies in our diversity and dedication. Set up by Omar Omar, the team brings together passionate individuals from various backgrounds, including community advocacy, health services, legal support, and economic empowerment. Each member plays a vital role in driving our mission forward, ensuring that KVP populations have access to the resources, rights, and opportunities they deserve. Together, we are building a stronger, more inclusive Zanzibar—one step at a time.
